Where to hang out in Exeter: best spots in town

Now that we know what to sightsee and where to dine, let’s look at the places to have fun at. Exeter isn’t often described as a party town. But that doesn’t mean it hurts for places to drink a fancy cocktail and enjoy people’s company. It’s actually quite the opposite! But enough talk, let’s look at the best hang out spots in Exeter.

1. Doctor Ink’s Curiosities

The best cocktails in the South West – claim held by many about this place. Its enchanting Victorian interior and their fancy drinks will make you feel like you’re in the Good times of the British empire. No one has the will to resist the Green Dragon, luring in with the name alone. Go in deep into the Golden Room to loosen up to the beats of chill music. If you’re down on the Exeter Quay, you have no excuse not to come in and kick back.

2. The Bridge Inn

Some say that they feel like time travellers when visiting this pub as this place hasn’t been redecorated since the beginning of its existence. It still charms the visitors with its quirky interior design, complete with historic furnishings and decorations. What you’ll find there is a wide selection of ales as well as delicious meals. The atmosphere on its own is a good enough reason to visit, though. Enjoy a pint of delicious beer and soak up the historic aura.

3. Board

If you’re a fan of quality time over a board game you’ve just found your place on Earth. This kind of entertainment can be enjoyed at Board over a delicious burger and lemonade. It’s a perfect place for a night out with a family. The staff members are always happy to help what game to choose so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Get off your smartphone and appreciate the company of your friends at Board! Plan your day well though, you’ll have a hard time leaving this amazing place.
